Michael is a Partner in the Assurance and Corporate division of Exant with over 25 years external audit experience across a wide variety of entities and industries. In addition to Michael’s audit expertise, he has a deep understanding of business advisory services having held positions at both small and mid-tier firms.
Michael enjoys taking care of the compliance, audit and risk management and governance committee requirements for his clients. He works with non-listed public entities including one of Australia’s largest private companies and has acted as the lead auditor for small cap companies.
Michael services a broad range of industries ranging from mining and manufacturing, to aged care and retirement villages, insurance and indigenous organisations, to name a few. This is where he leverages his expertise in areas such as external audit, risk management, technical auditing and accounting issues, business and strategic planning, business and systems reviews.
Michael was an external member and Chair of the Byron Bay Shire Council’s Audit and Risk Committee for over 15 years.
